THE MAHABHARATA SECRET by Christopher C. Doyle

BOOK REVIEW:  4 stars out of 5.

The Mahabharata Secret by Christopher C. Doyle is a mythological thriller that relies on ancient myths about Mahabharata. The author has done a good job of crafting a story that will keep you on edge till the end. It's clear from the book that the author has done enough research on the Indian King Ashoka and used this knowledge to form well-crafted riddles that formed part of the narrative. The story begins with the discovery of a world-threatening secret by King Ashoka who then forms a secret society to protect the secret at any cost. The plot swings back and forth in two timelines, one describing the events during the reign of Ashoka and the other detailing the efforts of Vijay and his friends to find the ancient secret. Christopher cleverly used the mythical weapons of Mahabharata to create an engaging storyline that glues the reader to the book.

The author has written a good book given that this is his debut book in the series. I am willing to explore other books in the Mahabharata series. The writing was simple and easy to understand. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading mythology-based thrillers.
